Welcome to Day One...

Today we will begin our journey with the novel "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. This week, we will explore the concepts, background, themes and setting of the novel. By strengthening our background knowledge, we will be able to think critically about the text and obtain a deeper understanding of the characters, plot and themes.

We will begin this week of exploration with a web-quest that I designed specifically for this unit. Below you will find a link to the web-quest. You will have all of today to work on it (84 minutes). Tomorrow we will begin a new activity, so anything that is not completed will need to be finished as homework. Keep this in mind if you intend on working in pairs or in a small group.
